Celtic clinical negligence pilot

Legally aided clinical negligence claims between £5,000 and £15,000 are being fast-tracked in Wales as part of a pilot study. Cases involved in the pilot will be resolved without resorting to litigation. The Speedy Resolution Scheme is a joint venture between the Legal Services Commission and the Welsh Assembly. It is available to firms with clinical negligence LSC franchises in England and Wales involved in actions against Welsh NHS trusts. It will run until 100 cases have been concluded; there will then be a formal, independent evaluation.
