£8.26mn in damages for brain damage at birth

A boy who suffered brain damage at birth after an epidural was wrongly administered has been awarded more than £8.26mn in damages. He will get a lump sum of £2.23mn, annual payments of £42,000 to the age of 19 and £105,000 each year for the rest of his life. His mother also suffered brain damage in the incident and was awarded damages four years ago. The boy has cerebral palsy and requires 24-hour care.
