Call for urgent regulatory action on nanomaterials

The Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution has called for urgent regulatory action on the different nano-scale materials widely used in industry. Although the materials have so far shown no evidence of harm to people or the environment, the commission warned that there was a major gap in research. It also said it would not recommend clothes that incorporate nanoscale silver.
