Personal Injury Mediation

Thursday 15 January 2009, 1.30pm - 3.30pm Bond Pearce, New London House, 6 London Street, London EC3R 7LP

A Forum of Insurance Lawyers’ (FOIL) seminar on practical and economic aspects of using personal injury mediation for insurers. The seminar will focus on the practical and economic issues about when, how and why to use mediation to best effect for insurers and when not to. The impact of the mediation provisions in the pre-action protocol and the allocation questionnaire will also be examined. A basic understanding of mediation will be assumed but the session will begin with a refresher on what happens at mediation. FOIL’s ADR special interest group has arranged for this training to be carried out by Tim Wallis and Lea Brocklebank on behalf of Trust Mediation Limited, a not for profit organisation.
