Weil, Gotshal & Manges elects Houston attorney to partnership

UNITED STATES – Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP has elected seven new partners worldwide, effective from 1 January 2009, including Houston attorney Douglas McClellan. The firm currently has more than 300 partners in 20 global offices. McClellan practices in Weil Gotshal’s Houston office, where he is a member of the Litigation/Regulatory department and concentrates on patent litigation. He has represented clients in patent and trade secret matters involving semiconductors, chemicals, computer software and hardware, medical devices, diamond-like films, the internet and automotive products.
