Rent review – nature of building to be valued – construction of assumptions

St Martins Property Investments Ltd v Cable & Wireless UK plc [2007] EWHC 582 (Ch) (4 April 2007)

Here the Court was concerned to construe the assumptions which the valuers had to bear in mind when valuing the open market rent. Readers will know that a typical rent review clause will require the valuer to assume that specified circumstances exist and to disregard certain factors.
