Other Legislation

This chapter provides a brief annotation of the most relevant provisions of the other two important statutes with regard to arbitration, ie the State Immunity Act (Cap. 313, 2014 Rev. Ed.) and the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 (Cap. 53B, 2002 Rev. Ed.). Due to the fact that both pieces of legislation are virtually identical to their UK counterparts and given the scarcity of Singaporean case law on these matters, reliance will be placed on English case law.
