AIG bankruptcy options considered in early 2009

ALLOWING New York-based insurer AIG ( pictured) to go bankrupt was an option considered by US government officials in late January and early February, according to a Fox Business report, citing emails about AIG between officials at the US Treasury and the Federal Reserve, and with two attorneys from legal firm Davis Polk & Wardwell.
