Ex turpi causa non oritur actio

Gray v Thames Trains Ltd and another [2008] EWCA Civ 713; [2008] WLR (D) 210; TLR 19 June

In 1999, a three-car Turbo train operated by Thames Trains collided with a First Great Western high-speed train approaching Paddington station. 31 people were killed and over 500 were injured. The accident was caused by the negligence of employees of the defendants.
