Botched surgery victim wins damages
A man who underwent botched surgery on his eyelids has received damages of £22,000. The surgery was to improve his baggy eyelids
which restricted his vision. The procedure was only partly successful and, in fact, his vision was further restricted. The
surgeon also failed to prescribe lubricants for the eyes as well as antibiotics. The man had to undergo two remedial procedures
and was advised to undergo a third in order to correct the surgery.
