Botched surgery victim wins damages

A man who underwent botched surgery on his eyelids has received damages of £22,000. The surgery was to improve his baggy eyelids which restricted his vision. The procedure was only partly successful and, in fact, his vision was further restricted. The surgeon also failed to prescribe lubricants for the eyes as well as antibiotics. The man had to undergo two remedial procedures and was advised to undergo a third in order to correct the surgery.
