HUNDREDS of poor people sell old sinks, bunks, toilets, light bulbs and assorted scrap on the roadsides of Chittagong, the world capital of ship recycling – the smart new word for ship breaking, although in reality the two terms relate to different activities. The jumble is left over after scrap yards sell the most serviceable steel to the mills.
