GOODYEAR TO OBTAIN $159M IN INSURANCE SETTLEMENT

Ohio-based tire company Goodyear has said that it will receive about $159m from unnamed insurers as settlement for legal action filed by Goodyear more than a decade ago. The company said that the money would be paid in 15 monthly instalments. Under the deal, Goodyear will release the insurers from certain past, present and future environmental claims.
