£130,000 settlement for mesothelioma
The widow of a plasterer who died after being exposed to asbestos at work has received £130,000 in an out-of-court settlement.
The man developed mesothelioma through his work with a local plastering contractor company. His lawyer said the claim was
complicated by the number of different insurers that had provided cover to the employer over the years. In the end, several
of the insurers agreed to settle the claim – against the wishes of the employer.
