MAHONEY JOINS SCIEMUS AND TAKES STAKE

Managing general agency Sciemus, has appointed industry veteran Dennis Mahoney as chairman. Mahoney, who was formerly the chairman of Aon in London, will also become an investor in the company. Sciemus, which is also an analytics and modeling company, counts insurers Ascot, Montpelier Re and Ecclesiastical among its clients. The company said that Mahoney's appointment will help establish Sciemus as a global player and optimise the value of the company and its products. "Dennis will be more than just a figurehead at Sciemus," said Sciemus founder and chief executive officer Andre Finn. "He will be a central figure in our team, whose knowledge and contacts will help drive our vision to make Sciemus the market leader in our field."
