Admiralty - Claimant unable to meet costs of arrest - Order of court to release vessel from arrest
On 13 June 2012 Hang Zhou Wan was arrested at the suit of ACN, a Liberian company, which claimed to be her legal owner having purchased her from a previous owner who on ACN's case had failed to give it possession and had then sold her again to HRS, a defendant that had entered a conditional appearance in the proceedings. Upon the discovery that ACN did not have further funds to fund the Registrar's costs of arrest, the vessel was discharged from arrest by the court.
