Seven-figure compensation for brain damage from trip

A seven-figure compensation sum has been awarded to a man who was left severely brain damaged after an accident in London. He sustained a major head injury when he fell heavily after stumbling into a pothole. His injuries were so severe that he required brain surgery. Since the incident, the man has developed epilepsy. The High Court ordered the housing group responsible to award him “substantial” undisclosed damages in settlement. The housing group initially denied full responsibility but eventually accepted that it did not maintain the road surface to an acceptable standard.
