Africa Re wins Brazilian licence a year after IRB-Brasil’s investment

Nigeria-based Africa Re, in which the state-owned IRB-Brasil owns a 4.8% stake, has won a licence as an occasional reinsurer
in Brazil, and has agreed a reinsurance co-operation deal with the former monopoly player.
