When I began my training as a fresh-faced claimant trade union lawyer in the UK in the early 1990s, I cut my teeth on deafness
claims (or as they are now called noise-induced hearing loss claims) against large multinationals on behalf of claimants who
were working in, for example, the labour-intensive “metal-bashing” industries.
