WAUSAU REACHES ASBESTOS SETTLEMENT WITH QUAKER CHEMICAL UNIT

Employers Insurance of Wausau has settled a dispute over asbestos-related injury claims made against insured SB Decking, a unit of Pennsylvania-based Quaker Chemical. The deal calls for Wausau to pay 27% of SB Decking’s defense and indemnity costs over the next five years. Either side may dissolve the agreement after three years if they provide two years’ notice. SB Decking is not precluded from pursuing future claims against Wausau after the deal ends.
