INSURANCE BILL TO BE DEBATED IN HOUSE OF LORDS
Tomorrow will see the first House of Lords session examining the Insurance Bill. The House’s Special Public Bill Committee will take evidence from Lord Newby, the government minister who introduced the bill, David Hertzell from the Law Commission, and Hector MacQueen from the Scottish Law Commission. Wednesday’s session will see the industry provide evidence, with Philippa Handyside, head of legal affairs at the Association of British Insurers, and Kees van der Klugt, director of legal and compliance at the Lloyd’s Market Association, both due to speak.
