AIG NAMES GARG CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF PERSONAL LINES

AIG has named Gaurav Garg as chief executive of its personal insurance operation, where he will report to Kevin Hogan, chief executive of global consumer insurance. The appointment marks a return to AIG for Garg, who held various posts in the group’s personal lines business from 2000 to 2012, including a five-year stint as chief executive and managing director of the group’s Indian joint venture Tata AIG. Since 2012, Garg has served as president and senior partner, growth markets region, at Marsh & McLennan Cos’ Mercer human resources consulting unit.
