SYNDICATE 2526 MIGRATES TO AMTRUST UNDER NOVATION AGREEMENT

Lloyd's insurer A G Doré & Others syndicate 2526 has completed its migration to AmTrust from Asta Managing Agency under a novation agreement. As of today Mike Sibthorpe will replace Dominic Frost as active underwriter of syndicate 2526. Frost will remain with AmTrust at Lloyd's as head of special lines for the managing agency. Syndicate 2526 is a specialist professional liability syndicate, writing professional indemnity, medical malpractice, directors' and officers' liability and financial institution business. The syndicate’s stamp capacity in 2015 is £64m ($94.5m). AmTrust acquired the service company employing the staff of syndicate 2526 in 2012. Since then AmTrust has acquired capacity on the syndicate in the Lloyd’s auctions and has increased its share of capacity from an initial 16% to 99.5% of the syndicate capacity for 2015. The syndicate commenced underwriting in 2004 and transferred to Asta in 2011.
