Not the moment to predict the future?

Jake Longworth, of Eos Security, takes a look at maritime security: what to expect in 2016 and how the shipping sector should adapt to these changing conditions

As the end of a year approaches, it is a human habit across almost all business sectors to place more emphasis on two processes: reflection and prediction. It is as if 365 days is the magic unit of time which suddenly allows us to make educated guesses about what is, in reality, a highly unpredictable future. My personal prediction for 2016 is therefore that next year’s greatest event in maritime security will not be predicted in 2015.
