NEW EXPORTERS’ GUIDE FROM MIDLAND BANK INTERNATIONAL
Completely updated, rewritten and redesigned the 1982 edition of “Services for Exporters”, the fifth edition of a highly popular publication from Midland Bank International, is now available. The booklet is designed as a simple guide for new exporters to the services available and as a useful reminder to the more experienced ones. It describes briefly the ways of entering new markets. It considers the most common forms of documentation required and includes a section on the United Kingdom aligned documentation system introduced by the Simplification of International Trade Procedures Board (SITPRO), together with a demonstration on the use of this system. Also included, in a publication for the first time, is the documentary letter of credit guide and check list produced by SITPRO.
The guide also outlines the various methods for receiving payments for exports. It reviews schemes designed to insure exporters against the risk of default on payment by overseas buyers and it deals with all the sources of finance available to either U.K. exporters or overseas buyers to enable business to be settled on credit terms. All this information is provided in a clear and readable format over 44 pages, with colour illustrations and charts to help the reader through the various steps involved in the export process. An appendix lists other useful publications and further sources of information, and provides a full index.
“Services for Exporters” is available free of charge from Trade Development, Midland Bank International, 60 Gracechurch Street, London EC3P 3BN, or from any Midland Bank branch.
