JLT RE ACQUIRES CASUALTY TREATY SPECIALIST AS IT TARGETS CARIBBEAN GROWTH

JLT Re has acquired reinsurance intermediary Risk & Re-Insurance Solutions Corp (RRISC). Based in Miami, RRISC specialises in casualty treaty business and will form part of JLT Re North America. JLT Re said the acquisition will expand its treaty business into key markets of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, as well as "enhancing collaboration" with the JLT Latin America network. The RRISC team, led by founder Anthony Mirabal, will join JLT Re immediately. Last month JLT Re acquired StoneHill Reinsurance Partners, a reinsurance intermediary specialising in medical professional liability based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
