Jurisdiction in Part 20 proceedings

Roberts v The Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association – Forces Help [2016] EWHC 2744 (QB)

It has been held that the English court had jurisdiction to entertain Pt 20 proceedings by the Ministry of Defence against a company which provided members of the UK armed forces with medical treatment in Germany on its behalf. A clinical negligence claim was brought against the MoD arising from treatment provided at a hospital run by the defendant company.
