Government proposals for reform

The Chief Medical Officer, Sir Liam Donaldson’s has produced a report, ‘Bearing Good Witness’, which contains the Government’s proposals for reforming the delivery of medical expert advice in family law chambers. The Department of Health invites comments on the 16 proposals concerning the use of medical expert witnesses within the family courts, and specifically in public law Children Act cases.
