Confidential report cited “significant concerns” around RBS’ treatment of SMEs

An interim summary of the skilled persons review regarding Royal Bank of Scotland’s treatment of small and medium-sized enterprises transferred into its Global Restructuring Group around the time of the financial crisis, has found “significant concerns”. Although the Financial Conduct Authority, which published the summary, for a second time concludes that “the most serious allegations” were not upheld, “the independent review identified significant concerns about SME customer treatment by RBS”.
