FARMERS REBRANDS FOREMOST INSURANCE UNIT AS BRISTOL WEST

Zurich Insurance Group’s US subsidiary Farmers, is rebranding its Foremost Insurance unit under the name of another unit, Bristol West. Bristol West president Eric Kappler said the move “will allow for better alignment of our customer service and claims handling operations.” With the change, California-based Farmers is essentially merging two of its personal lines businesses in the wake of Foremost’s sale of its $200m small-commercial lines business to Hartford earlier this year. Farmers will continue to write commercial lines business under its own name.
