FinCEN expands real estate Geographic Targeting Orders, covers virtual currencies

US title insurance companies will, under reissued Geographic Targeting Orders, have to identify the beneficial owners of shell companies used to purchase residential property wholly for cash in counties in 12 metropolitan areas: Boston; Chicago; Dallas-Fort Worth; Honolulu; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Miami; New York City; San Antonio; San Diego; San Francisco; and Seattle.
