Alleged defect in bed causing injuries

Busby v Berkshire Bed Company Ltd [2018] 2976 (QB)

The High Court has held that a claimant’s serious injuries were the result of a tragic accident, and that the defendant company was not liable for them. The claimant had fallen off the end of the bed and alleged that her injuries were caused by a defect in the bed, or breach of her contract with the company supplying it, and/or negligence on the part of the company. The Consumer Protection Act 1987 was also of relevance.
