Auditors call for European Commission to overhaul anti-fraud office

The European Union’s financial watchdog, the European Court of Auditors, is calling for the European Commission “to step up its fight against fraud in EU spending”, giving its anti-fraud office, OLAF, more of a “a strategic and oversight role”, rather than the largely operational focus it has at present.
