Permanence and progress - the FATF interview

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF)has been given an open-ended rolling mandate for the first time, with membergovernments underlining its value as the premier international AML/CFT body.This decision – made in April – follows FATF’s latest 20-22 February plenary,where important issues such as the AML/CFT records of China, Iran and Brazilwere discussed as well as fighting the continuing terror finance threat posedby Islamic State. Senior FATF officials were asked to offer insight on theseand other ongoing FATF issues for Money Laundering Bulletin. Here is theirresponse.
