OPTIO ENTERS POLITICAL RISK MARKET

Managing general agent (MGA) business Optio Group has launched a political risk proposition for foreign direct investors in higher-risk markets. Backed by Hiscox and other Lloyd’s syndicates, the product will provide crisis management support services alongside the standard political risk perils of expropriation, war and forced abandonment. Optio said the existing London market policy form RJM (81) was not appropriate to today’s foreign direct investors, which typically do not have sophisticated crisis management capabilities.
