Lloyd’s, which bills itself as “the world’s specialist insurance market”, has embarked on dramatic reforms under its Future at Lloyd’s plan. Its goals are laudable, necessary and overdue. Without doubt, the recipe for success at Lloyd’s is specialism, but let us not forget the critical role of specialist following underwriters.
