Violence at Work
Nearly three-quarters of women transport workers experience violence at work
A new RMT survey has revealed that 72 per cent of female transport workers (those employed in rail, London Underground, and
on buses and ferries) reported that they have experienced violence at work in the last year. The most common form of violence
was verbal abuse, followed by threats of violence or assault, with 20 per cent of incidents involving a physical assault.
