17.1 Outline of Romania’s legal environment

17.1.1 Constitutional structure

In accordance with the Romanian Constitution, the form of government of the Romanian State is a republic where “the observance of the Constitution, its supremacy and the laws shall be mandatory.”1 The content of all other normative deeds must comply with the constitutional provisions.
