Restrictions on how brands can be used ordisplayed on a product or in association with services are increasing, becomingmore
onerous and spreading to different sectors. These restrictions pose a realthreat to intellectual property (IP) rights, brand
identity, economic growth,and to consumer choice and safety, and are something that all those who work withbrands should be
concerned about.
