GREAT AMERICAN NAMES SIPE AS SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT

Great American Insurance Group has appointed Carol Sipe as senior vice-president in its property/casualty division to oversee its Republic Indemnity subsidiary. She will assume the new post in addition to her role as president of Summit, a workers’ compensation insurer owned by Great American’s parent, American Financial Group. Summit provides workers’ comp cover in 12 southeastern states. Sipe has been with Summit since 1989 and has also served as its senior vice-president and chief operating officer. AFG acquired the company in 2014.
