R (KK) v Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust [2019] EWHC 3565 (Admin)

The Administrative Court has refused to grant a declaration sought by a transgender prisoner who challenged a decision by an NHS trust refusing to recommend her for gender reassignment surgery funded by the NHS. The court concluded that decisions about whether to make referrals were based on individual clinical assessments appropriate for each individual patient.
