UK lockdown - day seven

It’s Monday 30 March. The editor advised me not to blog at the weekend and whilst I did take his advice, it struck me that
I was exercising a choice. In contrast, medical staff, police officers and other workers all over the world had no choice,
well, not quite but they went to work. The choice some in the UK made (20,000) was to come out of retirement and return to
help the National Health Service, support colleagues and save lives. At the same time, the media reported the deaths of more
doctors who had contracted the coronavirus whilst treating others. It is the incredible, selfless bravery of these people
which moves and hopefully motivates us to stay home.
