Markel International New Underwriters

Markel International recently appointed two marine underwriters, Nitin Marathe and Danielle Yu, to be based at the India and Hong Kong offices respectively. Nitin joined Markel India in February, bringing with him more than 20 years’ experience in aviation and marine in India. He specialises in marine hull and machinery, as well as ports and terminals placements. Prior to joining Markel India, he was the vice president of Marsh India’s aviation and marine underwriting team. In addition, he also oversaw the risk management and strategic business development in the market.
