Cyber attack latest

Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) has admitted being the victim of a malware attack during the Easter holiday. The hack affected its online booking service MyMSC and its website msc.com for five days through the Easter weekend. MSC said that “after a thorough investigation, we confirmed that it was confined to a limited number of physical computer systems in Geneva only and we determined that it was a malware attack based on an engineered targeted vulnerability”. MSC agents globally resorted to more traditional means of communication in order to maintain an uninterrupted flow of cargo.
