STANDARD CLUB TO BRING MANAGEMENT ‘IN HOUSE’
The Standard Club is to bring its core management operations "in house" with more than 200 Charles Taylor employees set to move over to the marine and energy insurer over the next year. Charles Taylor has provided management services for The Standard Club since the club’s formation in 1885, with management of the insurer serving as Charles Taylor’s principal activity since the 1960s. The club said it would be working with Charles Taylor to ensure a smooth transition beginning in July 2020 and concluding in August 2021. Charles Taylor will continue to supply the club’s technology infrastructure, investment management, internal audit and other support services under multi-year contracts. Charles Taylor Group companies will also provide the club with loss adjusting, medical assistance, marine technical and club correspondent services.
