PAKISTAN AIR CRASH INSURED WITH AIG

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) airliner that crashed in Karachi last month was insured by AIG, according to Reuters. The aircraft, an Airbus SE A320, was insured for $19.7m, an airline document on the company’s website showed. PIA flight 8303 crashed into a residential area of Karachi on May 26, killing all but two of the 99 crew and passengers on board. Marsh was the reinsurance broker while AIG was the lead reinsurer, Reuters said.
