Former prime minister convicted over Malaysia’s US$4.5bn 1MDB fraud

Former MalaysianPrime Minister, Najib Razak, was convicted in Kuala Lumpur High Court onTuesday (28 July 2020) of seven charges linked to his role in the embezzlementof US$4.5 billion from the 1 Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) governmentinvestment fund.
