MCGILL HIRES MILGATE FROM AON TO HEAD TREATY REINSURANCE

Specialist broker McGill and Partners has appointed industry veteran Angus Milgate to lead its treaty reinsurance business. Milgate, who has 33 years experience in a variety of broking leadership roles in both London and Asia, was formerly head of UK and Ireland for Aon’s reinsurance division. The appointment is the latest in a series of hires to the boutique broker’s reinsurance division in recent months. McGill also announced former Steadfast Re executive Dan Bailey is set to join as a partner with a focus on retro and industry loss warranties and Bob Mellor is to join as a partner from MS Amlin with a focus on property.
