The strange story of the Salisbury poisonings was depicted in a television drama screened earlier this year. In March 2018 Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were discovered slumped on a bench in the centre of Salisbury, a quiet English Cathedral city, after being poisoned in what the UK Government described as an assassination attempt by two Russian intelligence agents, using a military grade nerve agent called Novichok.
