REARDON NAMED HISCOX RE AND ILS CHIEF

Hiscox has appointed Kathleen Reardon as chief executive of its reinsurance and ILS division. Reardon, who was previously chief executive of Hamilton Re, succeeds Mike Krefta who is stepping down early next year after 17 years at Hiscox. Hiscox revealed Krefta's departure in August alongside the group's interim results. Hiscox Re and ILS, which operates from Bermuda and London, will be looking to capitalise on Reardon’s leadership skills and business relationships as market conditions improve. Reardon left Hamilton Re in August after six years as chief executive. She joined Hamilton Re in 2013 from Ace. Based in Bermuda she will also be a member of the Hiscox group executive committee.
