Aftermath – attention turns to Covid-relief abuse

The UK Government’s pandemic support schemes are believed to have fallen prey to billions of pounds’ worth of error and fraud. With ordinary controls having been bypassed under the exigency of the crisis, a retrospective exercise is now underway to identify and enforce against wrongdoing.
